Hey guys I know that most of us do our shopping online these days. I have a question that might not even go anywhere in this site but I'm sure some of you might know something about it. I am doing a purchase Online, from a person on Craigslist.org who I'm afraid might just take the money and never send me the product. His page on Craigslist.org was FLAGGED yesterday, not sure why, he claims just because he is a New Yorker. I want to pay for the product but I wanted to know if you guys know of anywhey of payments, where the person would not be able to just take the money and run? I there is anywhey that the payment can be made so that the person's information goes on a record somewhere that way if he does take the money I can call my bank to locate who picked up the money and be able to retreive it. Sorry if this is just totally out of line here, but I'm just not sure what the safest way to do it is.

If you have ANY doubt-- don't do it. Especially if there's a flag-- that's not there for nothing.
Go elsewhere and shop. Unless Craigs list makes some guarantee...
Even EBay can be tough if you get screwed... big talk-- but there are cases where people have lost out.

I don't think Paypal would guarantee it--if you use a CREDIT card-- the company would protect you-- and go after him-- but it's still aggravation you can avoid.

the thing is that it is a very good price that is very very hard to turn down, that is why I am trying to make this purchase, I'm just not sure how to pay him in a safe way.

If you pay him and don't get the item--how good is the price?

I think i might have found what I was looking for today at a place near me with almost the same price, just without the FRAUD risk part.
