Default 1 long beep, 2 short beeps

Recently my computer has been great. I've had it for 9 months now and it's been fantastic. Today i logon and install some updates for some commonly used programs, games, software etc. I go to restart my PC and as it's about to reboot i hear this beep.
The beep noise was as follows

1 Long beep (2 secsonds) then directly after that beep (No space) i hear 2 fast beeps like 1 after the other.
Now i've assumed from my knowledge at least this would be a video issue. I've taken it out and put it back. Left my computer power free for 1 hour. I've tried the memory on another PC and the memory is fine. Im actually scared to try a CMOS reset cuz im not exactly sure what im doing.
I was wondering if anyone else has some suggestions.

I have a 6600 Ultra 256mb PCI-X graphics card
AMD 64 Athlon 3400+
Gigabyte K8N Motherboard
1GB of Ram

Those are the only things i think are relevant as of now.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check if your motherboard is compadible with the updated video drivers and update the bios.

Well first off. I never installed new video drivers.

When i say update software i mean things like

World of Warcraft

AVG

Etc. Nothing system software or hardware wise.

And secondly. I cant even access my BIOS due to the fact i see nothing on my monitor just gives me "No Signal"

So im guessing it's a video card issue

To me it sounds like your RAM isn't seated correctly. Check to make sure that your RAM is seated all the way down, yet don't use too much force.

Yea im pretty confident it's a video issue now.

About the ram thing.

I've made sure it's secture and even tried a different slot.

Also the beep code is inconsistent to what a ram issue beep is. A ram issue's beep is a long 2 second beep followed by a pause followed by another 2 second beep. The beep im getting is completely different. The PC still seems to boot up but with just no visual display.

Anyway. Im still all ears.

Thx alot.

Hi welcome to the forum That beep code indicates that there is somthing wrong with your graphics card if you have reseated it and you still get no display try another graphics card.
