Whoa, talk about a major load on your 12v rail on your power supply. I think this maybe or may be one of another issue. It is not supposed to be lower then at least 11v or you will get some power problems. Computers with my specs and your specs require plenty of juice from the power supply, but your's isn't feeding the system enough. I believe your 8800 is chewing up more energy then the power supply can handle, which can lead to failure in the power supply, which can cause rebooting, or just plain shutdowns. Power supplys with 600Watt or more power would be perfect if they have enough AMPS on their volt Rails. You would need to compair how much AMPS on a 12v rail your 8800 needs, and match that with what a power supply has, whether it is single, or combined. If it is more then needded, then you won't have to worry. SLi certified power supplys for 8800s work best, even if you don't have two graphics cards. So, the way things seem, your power supply is just being over-loaded and needed power being sucked down. Efficient power makes the system more efficient.
