Whenever i shut down my PC it restarts back up again once it has shut down,anyone got any ideas why this is please

Welcome to The PCHF.
Ok, I'm not up on Vista yet, but could you check in the BIOS whether your sysem has anything like "wake up on LAN" enabled, this can cause random startups.
I'm sure one of the other techs will be able to help more soon.
