Question web cam and the Brady Bunch

Anybody remember the opening sequence of the show? 9 squares on the screen, each with a moving picture of a family member. I am exploring ways to collaborate with others via the Internet and wondered if web CAM software would allow me to reproduce this kind of screen.

Say there are 4 other guys I want to meet with. Can I have 4 squares on the monitor with a live picture of each guy in each square? If yes, would audio be supported as well or does it make better sense to have a conference call on a phone for the audio portion?

thanks.......................matt

Hi Matt,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to. The only way for this to be possible would be if you had a powerful video card (try running 4 videos at once and see if your computer can handle it).

The only way I can think of it happening would be if the software itself supported it - I'm not too familiar with webcams, but I'm sure someone has thought of this at sometime.

I just did a search in google - split screen webcam - Google Search is what was returned.

Check them out, they may be what you're after.

Default Instant Messaging software

I wonder if you could have multiple instances of AIM or YaHoo Messenger and effectively have as many video webcam windows as the PC and internet connection can handle.
