Default [Resolved] Pc Resets

Hi folks.
I recently been having some trouble with random resets while pc is under any kind of load. (Playing a game).
Untill October this year PC was rock stable i then upgraded my video card to a PNY Geforce 6200. Things were fine for a while an then i added a gig of RAM in anticipation of the new NWN2 release. It wouldnt run it well it would but my vid card been unsuported caused awful dicolouration of sky boxes an after a short while would CDT.
Chirstmas this year my sister very kindly purchased an MSI NX7600GS AGP video card which installed no problem though any crashes id hoped to kill off persisted if not got worse.
Great video card actually for the short time ive had it running which is ment to be its last upgrade untill i can afford new system in the summer of 2007.

Video card started over heating an temp rose as high as 112 deg C. After little less than 10 mins so i stripped clean the drivers an replaced it with my GF 6200 untill the holiday period was over. Took PC into local shop an he replaced my cpu heatsink an fan an also placed a video card cooler an an adjacent pci slot this totally fixed any tempreture problems an either card now never gets above 35-40c.

I thought id managed too fix my problems but crashes persisted an i was getting frustrated thinking it was a bad windows install so i formatted on Friday.

Ive tried both memory sticks as single units an both together with same results even old stuff like Baldurs gate 2 an ice wind dale crash after a short time often resetting my pc.
MSI recomend a bios update after installing the drivers but possibly against my better judgment i refused too do so. Nvidia control panel is now stating i have a PCI video card . I tried setting up the bios with the most logical settings one thing i did notice in my bios after i installed the 7600 was i couldnt open the apeture to 512mb it just reset back too default 64 mb so best thing was 256.

Now after all the messing about i still get resets which ever video card i use an windows keeps recognising the video card as PCI rather than AGP.

What could be the most likley cause for the resets RAM, CPU motherboard or powersupply.

Windows error reporting fires up and blue screen of death .

Currently only got 3 games on pc right now to try figure out the problem which should have no bother running.

Icewind Dale Blue screen of death
Baldurs Gate 2 Blue screen of death
First eagles gets a windows error report and ocasional blue screen of death

Seems great untill i fire up anything with any graphics of the gaming sort, Ive had an idea though maybe my PC telling me to get a new job an stop been a lazy games ***. Nah that cant be it

Video card drivers are 93.71 and direct X should be pretty recent no older than the latest November release (Installed from FE CD).

Thanks for the welcome btw

Hey pipp,

- Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer and click on the System section.
- Look for event 1001, which should have the following information:

Event ID: 1001
Source: Save Dump
Description:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was ?
...A dump was saved in:.......Note where this is saved to

- Come back here, and click on Go Advanced
- Click on the attach icon (paperclip) and attach some of your dump files back here.

A few of these would be great.
