Well i got the laptop from bestbuy and plan on taking the AC adapter back and have thim get me a new 1. And YA i ment that the power socket on the back of the laptop has broke at least 10+ times just from un-pluging/pluging it in.

Do mac laptops have this problem?

I'm not sure with apple laptops I've never been a warranty provider for them. When you look at the laptop your going to purchase if it has the same plug and jack setup as your existing laptop it may break at some stage but most of the laptops are like that. Manufactures really need to look at a diferent plug/socket setup that is more durable. when you spend big $$$ on a laptop they should fit a good power socket/plug. Imagine how much off people time and $$$ it would save for both parties!!!

Hey Guys,

Thanks so much for adding your expertise MadMatt!

@Broken, when you go back to Best Buy, ask the guys at the Geek Squad counter if they know anything about Apple power sockets.

I'm sure lots of folks will be looking forward to your reply,

TTFN
