Default [Fixed] My PC is running really slow!!

I recently bought an External Hard Drive because my C:/ drive was running out of space. When I bought my ext. drive I took my music and videos and media files, which took a good amount of space on my C:/, as of now my C:/ has 500 MB (out of 9.30 GB) And my computer is running really slow, example: takes a long time for programs like winamp and mozilla and aim to start up. It even takes it a while for My Computer to come up. Is there any suggestions in speeding this up? Any things to clean up? Thanks in advance

Have you finished transfering what you want to the new drive? If not, finish doing that, and then do some cleanup. When transfering files, i like to use the copy to command instead of the move to command, make sure everything is there and works, then delete the files from C. But thats up to you, and others may do it different. After you finish, you can run disk cleanup in windows to get rid of old temp files, cookies...ect , or you can use a utility like this:
http://www.pchelpforum.com/utilities...-ccleaner.html
Just read the instructions before you start, all of your options are clearly marked, and you can uncheck anything you dont want to delete. Then defrag until it says 100% of files have been defragmented. Then run check disk, and check> automatically fix file system errors> scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors. Try this and see if it helps, and let us know.
