Hi henry,

A corrupt event log could actually cause problems, but your best bet is to clear the log causing these problems. Right click on (Application, Security or System), and Clear.

After the next BSOD occurs:
- Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Event Viewer and click on the System section.
- Look for event 1001, which should have the following information:

Event ID: 1001
Source: Save Dump
Description:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was ?
...A dump was saved in:.......?

- This will tell you where the location of the dump file is. Can you attach the dump file back here?

Also, if you have Zone Alarm, disable it to see if your problem returns. If you don't have Zone Alarm, then I would like you to follow prework, as this could also be malware.

Hmm problem seems to be fixed by uninstalling zonealarm. But if this happens again I'll post it here
