Had trouble with pc a while ago, it kept crashing, wouldn't work at all, and thankfully yuo guys helped me.
But now it's going through all the motions but then gives me the options of :
- Safe Mode
- Last good configuration
etc etc
It then does a scan to say there is a problem with system FAT32, i don't know what that is but it does this scan everytime now.
After the scan, a blue screen appears that says if it is the first time it has come up, just to restart but if it has appeared again then look at newly installed software to see if there's problems, and then it starts a dump of physical memory. So i try to restart and then it all happens again.
This happens everytime, it doen't start up at all, it just goes through this cycle.
Hope you can help - this is so frustrating!!!

Yup I've tried all the basic options.
Safe mode just makes a whole page of weird numbers and commands, last known config starts off the scan. I pressed F8 at start up aswell and more options come up but i don't know what any of them mean e.g debugging. I'd like to avoid wiping everything off the hard drive but if worst comes to worst. |

Although the problem sounds vauge, it does sound as though you have troubleshot this problem as far as it can go. My suggestion is to format your hard drive (I know, OMG MY DATA!). There is a way to save your information, although this process is not a stap. First remove your hard drive from your PC , put the hard drive in on another computer and be sure to set the jumper to slave. Place all the information you think you need to keep onto the other hard drive, and then format it. Put the hard drive back into your original PC and the install windows xp onto it. Hopefully this will solve your issue. If this does not solve your issue then the problem likely extends beyond a software issue. After you get everything setup and how you like it, you can either create a little lan, send the file through email or some form of file sharing website, or do exactly what you did at the start, putting the hard drive into the other PC. If you have questions on how to specifically do a step or the whole thing PCHF will be here.
Good luck!
