just bought a new computer that has a ConRoe945G motherboard that i cant seem to work. when i switch the computer on, i get a message saying insert media device (or something like that) which i assume would be the support CD. ive put in the CD i was given by the company and it is a conroe motherboard CD but it says that the serial number doesnt match the motherboard in the support list or something along those lines. i was thinking maybe i could just download the drivers and burn them onto my own CD but i dont know what files to burn from the file downloaded. can someone please advice me on anything ive said, im totally clueless

Questions:
This is an Asrock Conroe 945G...?? (Asrock would be the manufacturer --Conroe the series or model name)

If I am correct in the first assumption -- have you Installed Windows on this machine yet?? Did it come PRE-installed?

If it is not installed yet you would need to install it.

if it IS installed all you should have to do is reboot/tap whatever key is in your manual to enter the BIOS-setup screens.
When you get there-- you must manually navigate using the arrow keys... to the boot screen/ press enter/ should open boot order dialog -- set the computer to boot from the hd FIRST (highlight 1st boot device/ click enter/ select HD) .
Scroll back up to top, hit F10 should popup "save settings and exit"

Reboot again. should work now-- if not we'll do more checking.
