Default [Fixed] PC not recognizing hardware

short description
: I have 5 hardware devices that dont work because they have no drivers, and I have no idea what to look for.

long description: I just got a dell latitude d600, everything worked fine. Until I decided to take the hard drive out of my old laptop, and slapped it into the new one. The operating system is win xp pro service pack 2. So after I put in the new drive, 5 of my hardware devices arent being recognized anymore. Since i just got this PC, I dont even know the names of the devices that arent working. But I know for sure that the following devices need drivers.

Sound card
network card
modem
wireless card

I know it was very stupid of me not to note the names of these devices beforehand. I cant connect to my router and get online because of the network & wireless card issues, and the pc has no sound because of the sound card issue.

So, what are my options?
How do i find out the names of the devices so I can locate the drivers?

Hi nonchalant,

Welcome to PCHF.

Don't worry, Dell are good with drivers, you can download everything you need from their web site. Here is everything you need:

thank you SO much.

If i would have checked back and read your post 3 days ago instead of talking to dell tech support i would have already fixed my problem.

They sent me a driver cd that didnt seem to help.
