short description: I have 5 hardware devices that dont work because they have no drivers, and I have no idea what to look for. long description: I just got a dell latitude d600, everything worked fine. Until I decided to take the hard drive out of my old laptop, and slapped it into the new one. The operating system is win xp pro service pack 2. So after I put in the new drive, 5 of my hardware devices arent being recognized anymore. Since i just got this PC, I dont even know the names of the devices that arent working. But I know for sure that the following devices need drivers. Sound card network card modem wireless card I know it was very stupid of me not to note the names of these devices beforehand. I cant connect to my router and get online because of the network & wireless card issues, and the pc has no sound because of the sound card issue. So, what are my options? How do i find out the names of the devices so I can locate the drivers? |

Hi nonchalant,
Welcome to PCHF. Don't worry, Dell are good with drivers, you can download everything you need from their web site. Here is everything you need: Downloads |
