pow,

Please refrain from swearing and posting multiple times, please read PCHF rules: http://www.pchelpforum.com/site-anno...uncements.html

Are you sure your CD-ROM drive is capable of playing DVD's, have you tried playing a DVD film? Or are you using copied cd's?

Sorry about that

It plays some DVD's, most copied DVD's don't work. It's the game stuff that bugs me, it's not copied or anything but when I try to play it it just sits in the disk drive doing nothing

When you go to My Computer, and click on your DVD drive, do you see the files stored on the drive, or does it ask you to insert a CD?

My DVD Drive messed up a while back so I put my DVD's and CD's in my CD Drive, it works just fine their but copied DVD's it doesn't work.

What I would really like to fix is my game problem, when I put some games in the Drive and click on My Computer it doesn't show it read the file or that a file is stored their, it's just blank. It just sits their doing nothing.

Hi pow, it's most likely to be a hardware problem if you can't display files from the CD.

Make sure there are no scratchs on the CD and the CD's themselves are not dirty.

Otherwise your CD head may be damaged, or the lens maybe worn or simly just dirty. You can buy CD and lens cleaning kits which may help:
