Angry [Pending] Getting a old Motherboard going

I have a Biostar Microtech Int. Motherboard Model MB-8433UUD-A ver.2
CPU is a Intel 486DX2 processor with app 40Mbyte of RAM.

When booting up the board I get a single beep of the POST - code and the the machine tells me that it is updating the ESCD.

After that It hangs.

I have had it go beyond this point once andtell me that it is attempting to low lever format a HDD.

When I disconnect everything from the board, except the Video Card and the 3.5" FDD it attempts to read the FDD as part of the POST but then does not boot from the FDD although I have a DOS Ver 6.22 installatin D.disk 1 in the drive.

Any assistence will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Holger, welcome to the PCHF.

Might I ask why you want/need this 486 working again?
