Default Graphics card, ram and power

Hi,

On saturday I want to go to the computer fair market and buy a graphics card (Nvidia Geforce 7600GT), 2x 512 RAM and I just wanted to make sure that I can run the graphics card by asking PCHF's expert . Um... about the rams, what kind can I get? also, how do I find out how much power supply I got in my tower? There is a attachment that tells you everything about my motherboard (I think). This is a report created by Everest.

Thanks,
Henry

Right i had a look for your graphics card and it says it needs a minimum of 400w power ,But needs 550w for SLi mode(which you would want).I think that is generally the case for all the different makes of the 7600gt.As for whether your pc could run it or not i dont know so better wait until somebody with more know how than myself posts.
Hoped i helped anyway

Hi Henry,

You need to get DDR1 (NOT DDR2)
Also, you don't want SLI.

SLI is only for games, and I highly recommend you not spend a stupid amount of money on 2 video cards, when early next year, the next gen video cards come out that will out perform 2 of "the best of the best".

It's a nice video card for the price, and memory, the cheapist memory you should buy - is Kingston...nothing cheaper.

ps. SLI is buggy as well..and not many games support it...

i've gone from SLI 7800gt's to a single 7900gt - and this one card out performs the old ones something cruel...
