Ok I've searched the internet and can't seem to find a straight answer. I have an Amd 3200 64 socket 754 on an MSI board. For some reason even in bios its running at 50C when, for the first 3months, it ran at like 30C and under load it go up to like 49, but now for some reason its runing at 59C underload even w/ W.O.W. I've heard if you don't have a PSU w/ the right amount of amps on your 12v rail that it could be the problem. Well I bought a new dual 12v w/ 12v1 at 18(A) and 12v2 at, I think, (16a) I know in the manual for my mobo that it says a minum of 19(A) is required and I was wondering w/ dual 12v if those amps are added together or if I need to get one w/ 12v1 at like 20(A) and 12v2 at like ?(A) or what. Also if you have any idea on why my processor suddenly heated up out of know where any advice would be appreciated. I've tried everything, from uprading PSU, to new cooling unit, even RMA the processor w/ AMD b/c they though it might possibly be a bad Processor but they got it said everything was good and it ran fine and I asked about temps and they reported it at the temps previously listed when I first got it. So I'm stumped as of right now. Though I'll soon be getting an AMD Athlon X2 A2 4200, but I'd like to give this computer to my friend and I don't want to give it to him while its running the way it is. Thanks in advance
Matt

Hi Matt, welcome to the PCHF!
You said you've changed the cooling unit as well? Can you tell me if you put on some Thermal Compound? or did it come with any? And a power supply wont have any effect on your temperatures.

It came w/ thermal compound but i did have a thermal take venus 5500 w/ thermal paste and i know how to apply it and build comps I was a computer tech many times but granted all were p4 builds not amd, and this was first amd build. Yet I just don't understand why after 3months on stock h/f it was fine then it jumped in temp by 10c both at idle state and under load, so upgraded to new h/f cleaned off chip reapplied thermal paste and all copper h/f and still it knocked off like 2c and thats it. Any ideas would be helpful.

howdy mharrisonnc,
Dont alway trust your onboard sensors to read the temp. Download speed fan see if it gives you the same reading. AMD can run into the 70c range without being damaged. SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer
