Unhappy Ethernet Problem

Hi Guys,

On my device manager i see an exclamation point icon on the Ethernet Controller under Other Devices.

I don't really know what that is but on the Device Status it says:

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
To reinstall the drivers for this device, click Reinstall Driver.

I can't reinstall the driver because I don't have a cd for the driver. Tried searching the internet for a site to download the driver from but I can't find any. Anyone help? Please?

i'm going to try your advice now because my internet connection (broadband) isn't consistent. I tried calling myservice provider and all the troubleshooting we did din't help. someone will be coming over next week to see wat the problem is. i'm starting to think maybe it's the ethernet problem.

hey guys,

the error with my ethernet controller is still there. my lan card is fine. it's the ethernet controller thats not working. under device manager it's registerd as a unknown device, with a question mark icon, then an exclamation mark icon is also present stating there is a code 28 error or something like that.

thanks agian!
