Default Front Audio

This weekend i bought a case from the computer swapmeet to make my PC look half decent. no more beige box!! The case has front audio on it and i was wondering if it is possible to change the IFPA (intel front panel audio) pinout and attach 2x 3.5mm jacks that run to the back of the case because my mobo doesnt have f-audio on it?? Or would it be easier to take apart the front panel and put in some 3.5mm audio extentions instead??
