Hey everyone,

I built my own computer and it's been working fine for over 2 years. Well I recently moved it a few times and now the internet isn't working. I use cable internet. In the house I'm in now, i have another computer with the same internet and it works, they are connected by a netgear hub. The one that doesn't work always says "Limited or No Connectivity", i've installed a new ethernet card and reinstalled windows all over again, still same message. The last time I used the internet on it, i had my cable internet hooked up to a wireless router. Can anyone please help me?

Welcome to PCHF. We have a great team of techs here, with a wide range of skills and experience, and I feel confident that we can help you figure this out.

Let's start by making sure it isn't malware related, it would be a shame to waste a whole lot of time trouble shooting hardware and software settings only to find out it was an RLM (rotton little monster,) all the time.

Please carefully follow the instructions for PreWork in my signature, and post back with the ewido and HijackThis logs.

Also when you post back, can you please include the makes and models of the two PCs, the router information, and whether or not your reformatted and reinstalled, or just did a reinstall over your existing OS?
