Default [Resolved] sony vgn-a617b not booting up

hi all,
been having problems with my toshiba laptop so after 4 months my insurance offer me a brand new sony vgn-617b laptop, got it monday morning everything was fine. felt good to get back to network play with my bro. got up this morning pushed the power button and nothing.

the power clicks on then the hd flashes then clicks off and starts again. the only way to stop this is to remove all power to the laptop. nothing comes on the screen, it does not even come on. the dvd drive whirls for a second then that's it.i've had it 1 week and this happens. can anyone please tell me what this might be because i don't want another 4 months waiting if i can help it

thankyou for yor time

Hi pulley!
I'm afraid that something went very wrong on this laptop. There's not much you can do about it, especially because you can't easily check the inside of a laptop. I personally think that you are not able to do anything about it yourself.
Perhaps other users have suggestions though.
Blue

Good news in the fact that you get a new one , bad news in the fact it could be a while untill you have it..

But a new one is on its way atleast.
