Default online shopping

this is just a thread to get everyone's input on what they prefer, store shopping or internet.

i am in the process or purchasing computer components to make a pc online (mainly because of the price)

anyone disagree and think in-store shopping is better?

also, i was planning on using tigerdirect.com. anyone use something that's cheaper/better/more convenient? (i've checked newegg but i'm going with tigerdirect to get a mobo/cpu package)

Hi, welcome to pchf, I personally prefer online shopping, its easier, no need for travelling and you can get gr8 deals online, just make sure your carefull online on what details you give out and who you give them to, also always check the website address in emails as sometimes fraudsters send you emails asking you to update your information, it may say the correct address in your email but when you click the link check the address bar at the top to be certain its the correct website, hope this has helped you urs dave

I suggest that when shopping for a computer online, always check out it's testimonals if any or any recommend advice from friends. But for my part, it's always safer to go on store shopping, plus u get to bargain too !

Matt

Computer components etc all seem to be cheaper online in the UK, unless you live near the Sites shop if they have one

I buy all my computer components online apart from the odd bit that i need urgently.
