Question Mouse not working

I had my cpu worked on recently. It worked fine when tested but when I got it home and hooked it up the mouse wouldn't work I even purchased a new one and nothing. I called my computer tech and we tried everthing possible. It sounds like something within the casing is loose and he thinks I may have lost my mouse connection inside the casing. Is this something I can fix myself and if so how?

Hey Guys,

@Joeyfine, LOL:grin: , I think you meant "yes, of course you can".

@Klo, can you also please post the make model of your PC so we can determine exactly where you need to go within your case. We may even be able to find you a screen shot to give you directions.

Look forward to your reply,

TTFN

LGW

The mouse connects through an USB port.

Hi klo153!

Do you use any other USB Devices?
Do they work?

Same thing happened to me recently, luckily I still had my old mouse, I solved the problem by taking out the keyboard and mouse then connecting the old one's then rebooting then just swapping them over again. Weird but it works Tried it just replacing the mouse but didnt help needed to do the keyboard too. Every now and again it happens and that works fine. I did notice tho while the mouse wasnt working when i went into device manager to have a check there, there wasnt any drivers for the mouse present!!!!!!
This also worked for a friend too.
It may not work for you but its worth a go.
Good Luck
