All other Hardware - Busted PC posted in the Hardware forums; My mother got her new Graphics Card today and my brother put it in. Now her computer doesnt work. I think he tried the old card too but still nothing....

My mother got her new Graphics Card today and my brother put it in. Now her computer doesnt work. I think he tried the old card too but still nothing.

She says it booted up the first time, only to the desktop but with no icons, then rebooted over and over and said something about a corrupt file.

This is his brother... he forgot to tell about the ram sshe got today... and i got it working... just dont get why the ram was doing that

So the problem is solved?

There is the possibility that the ram could have been faulty. Did it start working with the new ram or the old one?

Dont know for sure if its fixed or not , but make sure to uninstall the old video driver , and reinstall a new one.

ok, (this is me again) her computer works now that the old RAM is in and we tried putting the new RAM in my computer to see if it would do the same thing but it works fine in my computer. Do you think it could be her motherboard?

Is the new ram the same type and speed as the old ram in her pc?
