[Resolved] - Usb/firewhire adapter wont work...

Well Its not a pci kind of adapter, it Has to slots that go directly into the motherboard and after I plug it in it wont Regester when I plug anything into it, think anyone could tell me what I am doing rong? :icon_scra

Hey there 5lug5lo

Could you post the exact make/model of this adapter.

One thing you can try is power down your system and remove the adapter.
Then unplug the power cable from your PC, insert the adapter, plug the power back in and boot your machine.
Does it get detected when you get into windows?
What version of windows are you running?

well, The adapter came with my motherboard (Gigabyte K7 trition KT600) so i dont know the exact model... I am running Windows XP home edition, servive pack 2, I will try the power down thing In a little bit...
