Speedfan should straight away show the temp also for the cpu , unless the board doesn't have a temp sensor , is damaged or the board and speedfan arent compatible.

You could give mbm5 a go , or have a look in youre bios to see if you have temp readouts there.

how would i go about checking my bios?

Reboot youre pc , and start tapping the delete button. Then you should be entering youre bios.

<cant get this reply out- comp keeps freezing> :computer_

anywho- i couldnt find any cpu temp in bios - so after checking pc wizard, speedfan and bios, starting to think my old 370 socket mb doesnt have that feature.

probably nothing, but noticed some things disabled in bios features setup=

cpu l2 cache ecc check
processor number feature
memory parity/ ecc check

maybe i just got a virus- know any good virus checkers?
already used spyware remover- adaware thx

Question this is easy i am having the same trouble at the mo

its your ram how many ram cards you have more than likely its to much for the motherboard to handle and the display goes yeah. you can still hear the pc running the mouse wont move the moniter is just stuck on the same screen. is that is wats happening ya try remove one of the ram cards and get back to me
