Zimbo asked about an extra Power Supply Unit , (psu , not cpu) , do you have access to that?

Ok Here is what i've done
took my roomies computer apart

Put his PSU in my Pc... nothing
put his Vid card in mine... nothing
Memory... nothing

put my psu in his.... worked
memory... worked
vid card.... worked
network card... worked
sound card... worked

our CPUs are different so i cant test that so it leaves to two things..

Motherboard or CPU.

I am getting a power up everytime just no video and my Mobo doesnt have onboard so i can only go off the AGP.

any suggestions?

Motherboard or CPU
You see this is always the tricky question, there is no way of knowing which one it is without being able to test it.

Personally it sounds more like a motherboard problem to me, but if you were gonna go out and purchase another motherboard I would recommend that you buy it as a bundle with a CPU.
This way you can be certain that both the board and CPU are compatible and sometimes it doesn't make a huge price difference.
