Is the fan on top of the heatsink turning properly?

Try leave the system off for about 20 minutes and then turn it on. If it is a heat problem then the system will probably crash in another 10 minutes or so.
This should give you enough time to run those "heat" check programs that I posted. Try to run http://mbm.livewiredev.com/ first.

ok, all 5 fans are running properly, yes i have 5 fans. 1 front, 1 side, 1 top, 1back, heatsink... i installed that program and says my Case temp is 82 degreess, CPU is 159 degress and fans are running around 70 degress. that seems like a normal temp right? i felt the heatsink and CPU and they are not even warm.

When the PC crashes and you get the blue screen, do you have time to write down the exact error message?

If so could you post it onto the site for us.

Also think it would be a good idea to run a memory on your system.
To do this you will need to download this program: http://www.memtest86.com/memt32.zip

It's a program called memtest86.
  • Once downloaded, unzip it, insert a blank floppy and hit install.bat.
  • Then follow the instructions.
  • Reboot the computer, go into the BIOS and select the floppy drive as the first boot device, the same way you did for the CD.
  • Then memtest86 will test your memory for errors.
Let us know the results, e.g whether it passes or fails.

there really is no error message, i cant even get a picture on my monitor again. i might do a swap on motherboards. if it brings everything up to snuff then i know where my problem lies.

here is what i've noticed.

there are no beeps for memory, video errors, sound card, or anything else when power up starts, i cannot see video when i boot up. but sometimes i can, i tried a swap on card and it didnt help, now i cannot get a video to come back up. my memory works as i tried it in another pc. that isnt a problem.
