Hi Stylinwiley,

Welcome to PCHF. We have a terrific team of techs with a wide variety of computer skills, I am sure we will be able to help you resolve this problem.

First of all, as you say your monitor is going out, have you tried getting a different monitor to determine if it is the graphic card settings or the monitor that is the cause. I would think that you could get your hands on a monitor for nothing, (I have at least two in my garage, lol.)

How did the monitor handle the games before you installed your new graphics card?

When the monitor doesn't allow you to see anything, can you adjust the monitor settings again?

Look forward to your reply,

TTFN

LGW

Did your Video Card come with driver's? I would uninstall the newest drivers and use the older ones that came with the card. As I don't know if the 700 is good with direct X9 + .. Also do you have a sound blaster sound card? And what game are you trying to play?

To add some more life to your monitor, lift "just" the back end of it a little bit, while holding the front end without moving the front. It should (most times) cure itself for awhile.

Also did any software came with your card?
You might have to change settings in there if so.
