Hi Joe5,
Well at the moment, it's when I try to re-install Windows. I gave my friend my hard drive to use whilst my PC wasn't working, because his was broke. It got through the formatting of the hard drive and copying Windows files but when it installs, it gets up to 'saving settings' and then freezes. So really, I can't download those apps until I get my PC up again. Also, I can't imagine it being a heat problem - my
CPU fan honestly is the biggest
CPU fan I have ever seen. Would it be wise just to buy a new
CPU fan, just to see if that is the problem? I've already made my mum spend ?20 on a
PSU and she wasn't best pleased when she found out that it wasn't the problem.
And obviously, seeing as though I've recently formatted the computer, it's not a malware problem but thanks for your help.
