Will This Work, I have the p4p800 will the Intel® Pentium® 4Processor Extreme Edition BX80532PG3400F CPU work with p4p800 2 different Chipset's Intel 775P chipset for Pentium® 4Processor Extreme Edition BX80532PG3400F CPU Intel® 865PE chipset for P4p800 Motherboard Asus say yes and Intel say yes But I'm not sure

I bought the CPU At a cost of 1300.00$ Motherboard, P4p800 is Working on my computer with a lower end CPU 2.6ht I'm worried that it might not work or it might damage something when the new CPU is installed not sure 2 thing's inside both chipset are different but everything else in the 2 chipset's are the same, so I'm not sure

Any info would be appreciated thank you J.G.

After looking at those specs I would say they are compatible, there should be no problems.
