Default [Answered] no usb ports or cd drives being recognised by computer

:banghead:

while i was trying to install a new printer i got an error message saying there was a file missing from the driver cd, then my pc crashed and came back on reduced to 640x420 pixels and no longer reading the usb ports or cd drives that are plugged into it. I have got the driver disc for windows me but i can't re-install because it won't read the cd drive. How can i solve this?
