Guys, Hingis, or watcha name is soz mate, would probably know tha trouble iv had with my IDE channel, having the cd rw drive and the HD on the same channel. The problem is this, My computer mouse now is really bad when the hd is reading... Every time the hd light flicks on ad off, the mouse jerks.. Is this a result of my IDE config... seriously, i dont have tha money for a new sata hd, as i only bought this new IDE 2 days ago... Can you exchange a 1 day old hd for a new SATA one..... Im such an idiot for doing what i did, but i didnt know..... Could it be anything else thats causeing this or am i just going to have to get a SATA hd... Thanks heaps, Granto

Hi granto - sorry for the lack of reponse to your question. If you receive this message, it might have been that your Primary/Secondy IDE Channel was set to PIO instead of DMA Ultra...
This is an easy change which is done in Device Manager under the Advanced settings for each Channel. If you are still experiencing the problem, and perchance read this thread, then please let me know and i'll go into further detail for you.
