What the hell is a network card? I recently got wireless broadband. But it needs a network card to plug into my PC. Can i not use my modem?

Also, can my wireless broadband be intercepted? Can people use my receiver to use broadband themselves? And can they see whatever I'm doing on the internet?

they can sniff out your wireless connection sure, I get poeple trying all the time. But that is what routers and firwalls are made for!

But aint a firewall on my PC? Cant they just intercept the signal from the antenna???

I don't know much about wireless networking but if you set everything up correctly then the signal should be incrypted afaik.

But a real hacker can get in to anything.
