How many times have you been desperate, it's a bad place to be. :| We've all been a little over the top or impatient when we're there.

There are some really knowledgable folks on this site, I am sure that if it is possible to help, this is the place.
So if you don't mind, can we start at the beginning and very calmly go over the specs and info so that the brilliant minds here can sort things out?
First things first, you have a group of 5 PCs ranging in age from 5 to 18 years, OK, have all of them been working for you the whole time, or did you inherit some, or all of them?
Are you trying to have them all work at the same time or use them for pieces to create one or more computers?
Please list the stats for each computer individually, Start with 1, list Motherboard, RAM, OS, externals, etc. completely. Put a postit or something on it so that you will always refer to this PC as Comp 1. Repeat the same procedure with each of the following 4 PCs tagging each one so that if there is a question or instructions you can make sure everyone is talking about the same parts.
Next list the stats on the Hardrives and other cables that you have so that the techs here can give you instructions based on the actuall hardware you have.
Two last questions, do you know when the PCs that you have always owned last worked, if you inherited any of the PCs, do you know when they last worked.

I was trying to make head's or tales of the situation. Lotta troll's out there We are a very willing bunch and we all get along as mod's which is very odd even in the begining. Butr my post probly could have been a little nicer as well, but did not quite understand it. You got sons that talk the new talk :-D although my oldest is 11 he still has not gotten the g33k talk down yet :-D
