Welcome to PCHF.
If you are looking at making a connection between the two PCs, it sounds like an IP address issue...go into the TCP(IP) settings for your Wireless card and set it to: IP address: 192.168.0.1 Subnet: 255.255.0.0 leave gateway and dns blank Do the same on the other wireless card but change the IP address to 192.168.0.2 Are you using a wireless router ?

Yes, I've had the wireless internet work on this router before, but strangely one day it just decided to stop and it doesn't pick up the WLAN anymore.
It's a LinkSys WRT54GS btw setting IP didn't work, and mine was usually 192.168.1.101 Subnet: 255.255.255.0 *sigh* |

Access your router page,
- Go to Start, Run, and type cmd. - From the Command Windows, type ipconfig Note the gateway address and type this in Internet Explorer from a working PC, to access your LinkSys router settings. From the Wireless settings of your router, make sure wireless is enabled. Try to disable wireless and then re-enable to reset. Also make sure your SSID is set to Broadcase if you would like the router to automatically show up on your wireless PC. |
