Google Translate gets a visual update, new features
By: CompuZap | Posted 11.17. 2009Usually you don’t mess with a good formula but Google thought it could make the Translate site/service even better and so it went for it. The result? A ‘new and improved’ Google Translate that has a fresh layout and can do translations as you type.
Supporting 51 languages, the service also got a new input transliteration feature for Arabic, Persian or Hindi, and was added a “Show romanization” button to help you read a text written phonetically in English. This function works for all non-Roman languages except for Hebrew, Arabic and Persian. Moreover, Google has added a text-to-speech feature which will enable you to hear the translations made into English.
