Palm Pre confirmed with iTunes support & Twitter search
By: CompuZap | Posted 05.29. 2009The D: All Things Digital conference revealed recently that Palm will be making the “Pre” far more desirable than it first seemed. There are going to be a few more features built in to the webOS, the platform which its soon-to-be-released smartphone is based on.
The rumours were right, webOS will have iTunes support, meaning that users can sync the Pre with Apple’s service to quickly and easily transfer DRM-free music, photos and videos, via USB from their PC or Mac. Additionally, the Pre will work as a mass storage device so it will be possible to easily drag and drop content onto it.
WebOS, and the Pre will also include Twitter search, integrated into its universal search function, and also feature the beta version of the App Catalog which will debut with apps from AP News, Citysearch, Fandango, Pandora and uLocate.
Releasing on June 6th 2009, The Palm Pre will cost $200 with a two-year contract at Sprint.
