How to backup your registry

ERUNT
Before ever making any changes to your registry, you should back it up. Just in case something does go wrong, it’s still fixable without the loss of anything. It’s quite simple to backup your registry, just follow these steps…
Backing up the Registry
You can download ERUNT fromĀ here.
Unzip all the files into a folder of your choice.
Click Erunt.exe to backup your registry to the folder of your choice.
Easy!
Restoring the backed up Registry
In the case that something does go wrong when you are editing your registry, you can restore it back to how it was with no real harm done.
To restore your registry, go to the folder and start ERDNT.exe
