Delete unwanted items from Add/Remove Programs

You may wish to delete items from Add/Remove Programs for a number of reasons, for example, if you needed to delete the software from the disk manually and/or there was something wrong with the uninstaller.  In some cases, the uninstaller simply forgot to remove the entry from Add/Remove Programs!  Whatever the reason, here’s how to delete it manually…


warning Warning:
If you do not know much about windows registry please do not attempt without asking question’s first.  Make a backup by clicking on Start, Run, type in regedit.  Right click on the key you would like to change, then Export and save to a folder such as your “My Documents” folder.

bullet Go to Start, Run, and type in regedit
bullet Navigate to the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Uninstall
bullet Under the key “Uninstall”, right click and Delete any unwanted subkeys.

There are also software apps that perform the same task, such as Tweak XP.

Hello,

I have installed MS Office 2007 in Laptop and there is some extra software installed which I’m not able to uninstall such as MS Office MUI (Turkish) 2007.

Kindly help me to uninstall them.

Revo Uninstaller might be of help: http://www.revouninstaller.com/

But if you continue to experience problems, you need to sign up and post on the Forum, rather than a tutorial. Select “Free Help Forum” at the top, followed by “Forum Home”.
